Privacy Policy

Amrah Studio (“Amrah Studio”, “we”, “us”) builds desktop, mobile, and web software. This Privacy Policy explains what information our websites and applications collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We design our software to be private by default and to collect the minimum necessary to operate.
In plain terms
- Your captures never leave your Mac. Photos, their metadata, the activity log, and your settings are stored locally. They are sent somewhere else only if you turn on a delivery integration (for example, a messaging service), and then only to the destination you choose — never to us.
- What we receive is minimal. When you activate a license or your app checks for updates, our server sees your license key, a random device identifier (not tied to your name), and the product name. That’s it.
- Payments are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record; we never see your full card details.
Who we are
Amrah Studio is an independent software studio founded by Abdul Qabiz. You can reach us at support@amrah.abdulqabiz.com.
Summary
- We do not sell your personal data.
- Our desktop applications run locally; data they create (for example, photos a security tool captures) stays on your device unless you explicitly configure delivery elsewhere.
- Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record for purchases. Paddle handles your payment details; we do not receive or store full card numbers.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you contact support, buy a license, or sign up for updates, you may give us your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
Purchase information. When you buy a product, our payment provider (Paddle) processes the transaction and shares limited order information with us — such as your email, country, the product purchased, and an order identifier — so we can issue a license and provide support. We do not receive your full card details.
License and activation data. When you activate a license, our license service receives your license key and a randomly generated device identifier so we can manage activations and seat limits. This identifier is not tied to your name and is not used for tracking across the web.
Diagnostics and crash reports. If a product offers crash reporting or diagnostics, these are opt-in where required by platform rules. Reports may include technical details such as operating system version, app version, and a stack trace. They are used solely to fix problems.
Analytics. Our website may use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate traffic (for example, page views and referrers). This does not identify you personally.
What our applications collect
Our applications are designed to keep your data on your device:
- Desktop apps (macOS, Windows, Linux): content the app creates is stored locally by default. A security tool, for example, writes captured images and logs to your own machine. If you enable an optional delivery integration (such as a messaging service), data is sent only to the destination you configure.
- Mobile apps (iOS): subject to the platform’s permission prompts; we access only what you grant.
- Web apps / SaaS: where we operate a hosted service, we store the data necessary to provide it, described in the relevant product documentation.
Cookies
Our marketing website aims to be cookie-free. Where a product’s web app requires cookies (for example, to keep you signed in), they are strictly necessary and described in that product’s documentation. Paddle’s checkout may set cookies required to process your purchase.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to operate:
- Paddle — payments, tax, and checkout (Merchant of Record). See Paddle’s own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and our license service. Cloudflare may process technical request data (such as IP addresses) to serve and protect the site.
- Email — to send license keys, receipts, and support replies.
These providers process data on our behalf under their respective agreements.
How we use information
We use the information above to: deliver and activate licenses; provide customer support; process payments and prevent fraud; fix bugs and improve our software; send you transactional messages (such as receipts and license keys); and comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the bases of performance of a contract (to deliver what you bought), legitimate interests (to secure and improve our products), consent (for optional diagnostics or marketing email), and legal obligation.
Data retention
We keep order and license records for as long as needed to support your purchase, provide updates, and meet legal and accounting requirements. Support correspondence is kept only as long as useful. You may ask us to delete data we are not required to retain.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect in the first place.
International transfers
We and our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@amrah.abdulqabiz.com. For payment-related data held by Paddle as Merchant of Record, you may also contact Paddle directly.
Children
Our products are not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy as our products evolve. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
